Gaoyou Mayor (his title is Chairman of Gaoyou's Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, but we'll go with Mayor) Ni Wencai was once director of the Gaoyou CWI and is  now a friend of adoptive families around the world. His service as an ambassador to those families has strengthened their connection to Gaoyou.

If you do get the opportunity to visit Gaoyou don’t be surprised if you meet him there, even if you didn’t contact him in advance. You will find him a warm and gracious host.

* He has written a book on the adopted children of Gaoyou and their families "Love across International Boundaries"
