During my visits to Gaoyou we saw examples of the industrial capacity
that Gaoyou has. A very large garment factory we toured was
impressive for its cleanliness, and good working conditions. We also
visited a just completed retail/wholesale garment district that will
put Gaoyou on the garment industry map now that it is open, and
filling with tenants.
I am very encouraged by the changes I see coming to
Gaoyou. A large, new, Renmin Hospital is rising behind the existing
hospital will better serve the district’s residents. I also saw a new,
several hundred unit, apartment block that would fit in well in an
upscale district in any US city.
Gaoyou City Hall works hard to encourage and support new
businesses
Gaoyou is a rapidly growing city with a current (8/2009) growth rate of 20%.
The district supports a broad range of industries
including textiles, garment manufacturing, LED and other
lighting, solar cells, and much more. Download the
